13 days in China, Xiamen- Putian ♥

HELLO,
i'm finally going to blog about my 13-day china trip today!
Hahaha i kept delaying it coz uploading pics are really a chore man >:(
I took HOURS just trying to upload pics to blogger and fb :[
Haha okay it's gonna be in order according to my stay there, but i will just mention random stuffs i did that day :)
& technically i stayed there for 14 days but since half of the first and last days are spent in sg/ on the plane, i shall consider it as only one day xD
Here goes!
Day 1;
Reached Xiamen airport at 1pm+ and reached Putian which was where im staying, at 4pm+.
By then it was getting dark alr, it'll be like complately dark at 5pm++ hahahaha

SY HI TO MY FAVOURITE NEPHEW.
He's freaking smart i swear. You can ask him to calculate two-digit numbers & he'll give you the answer immediately. Like 29+84+17-76+55 smth like that hahaha
AND HE'S JUST 9 YEARS OLD OMG.
He's won many awards in maths competitions lol coz his parents sent him to learn mental sums.
& he's super adorable omg! AND OBEDIENT, unlike my other nephews who are totally rebels coz their parents aren't staying with them.
Day 2;
Slacked the whole dayyyyy.
My chio cousin brought me to sing karaoke with her friends at night lol, honestly it was awkward coz her friend brought like 3 men who are kinda middle-aged and super rich i guess.
I REFUSED TO DRINK, can't really drink anw and i toasted them with WANG LAO JI LOL its like the china version of Jia Jia Liang Teh but muchhhhhh nicer.
& the KTV place was really cool, they actually had English songs which are quite new.
THE ROOM WAS FREAKING BIG LAAAAA. Apparently its for dancing lol. Just compare with Singapore's Karaoke rooms ._.
I WANTED TO SING KATY PERRY'S THINKING OF YOU and Lady Gaga's songs, but thought about the MVs and decided not to hahaha.
Day 3;
Didn't really do anything much but we went to the train station to buy tickets to go and fetch my dad from the airport. He's too busy to come for 13 days ._.
Took alot of quite nice pics, but guess what. I PRESSED 'DELETE ALL ON THIS DATE' BY ACCIDENT WTFFFF
Damn pissed with myself even till today lol, there were quite a number of perfectly timed jumpshots plus a few nice pics of my siblings and my cousin
But we took a few more which can be seen in my fb album hahaha. Kinda fail though, the jumpshots of me and my bro :/
My mum treated her friends to a buffet dinner at a 4-star hotel in the evening and i tagged along while my siblings stayed at my cousin's house LOL
Food was awesome, there were sashimi OMG
It's like a fusion of Sakura, Vienna (according to my mum) and Seoul Garden??
We had like a personal steamboat, haha the first time i encountered such a thing was when i went Guizhou with CJ in end of J1!!!
Okay there was Indian pancakes too, it tastes like roti prata with sugar LOLOL
Day 4;
Went strawberry-picking for the first time.
It was super impromptu & i didn't even had time to go wear my contacts haha!
Btw the strawberries were super cheap, i think 1kg 8yuan or smth
Idk coz i didn't pay for it LOL, my cousin did.
Actually i never had to actually reach into my pockets to get money to pay for anything, EXCEPT ONCE when buying gifts for the retards hahaha

This cousin who brought us to pick strawberries is my fav nephew's dad hahaha. He's like my second fav cousin man, he's super nice and knows us really well hahaha.
He was in sg for half of my childhood years LOL.
MY FAV COUSIN WASN'T PRESENT AT ALL COZ HE WENT WORKING SOMEWHERE ELSE ):
Anw this 2nd fav couz of mine brought us around the neighbourhood and we had a really great time at the playground LOL.
Oh he also brought us up to his rooftop to admire the view,
so prettyyyy hehe.
Day 5;
Kinda boring hahaha highlights of the day would be eating smelly tofu & xiaolongbaos!
Studied for BTT and FTT and i almost died of boredom
My chio cousin brought me to town to shop at night hehe & we basically had dinner there with her friends :)
Her friends this time were really nice ppl but they were all guys LOL.
Okay we were all kinda lame so we had a good time :)
Day 6;
MY CRAZY COUSIN CAME TO VISIT US HAHAHA
She damn annoying coz she initially went to my sis & called my name ._.
Then she realised its my sis lolol
Oh i didn't mention earlier but we were living with her dog lol, coz she had to go for work and stuff and her daughter who's only 10 can't take care of the dog at their house
She bathed the dog and it was like super clean and nice after that!
We camwhored with the dog & had a photoshoot for it LOL.
Glad we did cause the dog met with an accident later on :/
It was really unfortunate ):
Went to pick strawberries again coz it was nearby lolol
Day 7;
Went shopping hehe.
There wasn't anything much to buy, clothes sold there wouldn't be of much use in sg lolol
The accessories weren't exactly what we'll wear here in sg too :/
So ended up not buying anything at all, except for a bag for myself hehehe
IT WASN'T CHEAP, lol im totally feeling China's inflation man
I think you can get comparably similar stuffs in Bugis Street for lower prices even.
Which was why i didn't buy alot of stuffs on this trip hahahaha.
AND IT WAS ONE OF MY NEPHEW'S BIRTHDAY THAT DAY, so we had to go back home early at like 5pm+ for dinner haha
We eat dinner super early in China man, seriously.
This nephew of mine is the same age as my fav nephew HAHA. But he has this older cousin who's considered my nephew too, who's freaking annoying.
& the best part is, we're staying at their house. -.-
So when they ask for our iPhones to play games, we have to let them play 80% of the time
I say 80% coz its mostly my siblings who lend their phones, i simply refuse LOL
I WAS ADDICTED TO READING JOKES ON AN APP THAT RONALD RECOMMENDED.
& i think i only lent them my phone once hahahahaha
I think i keep diverting away from the main point lol ._.
So yea LOOK AT THE BIRTHDAY CAKE.
It had really cool candles which plays music continuously once lighted! (Although it got really annoying after that coz the candles refused to stop playing the music)
Day 7;
We went to this temple which was having some activity?
I don't understand the significance of the things in the pic below but i thought they looked nice hehehe.
My auntie plays for some band and she performed at the event hehe :)
Idk what she played but there's pics on my fb, i needa ask nick what it's called hahaha
I wanted to minimise number of pics here coz blogger is really annoying when it comes to uploading pics haha. :/
Went to have street food in the evening, my 2nd fav couz rode me and my mum to this night market on his motorcycle :)
I LOVE RIDING MOTORCYCLES, lololol even though its freezing cold coz of the wind I STILL LIKE IT xD
Bought Gong Po Bing home for siblings to eat, super awesome man
Doreen & Marissa told me to try that in China hahahaha
Day 8;
SLACKED THE WHOLE DAY HAHAHA ok i forgot what i did, but i think it was just going around marts buying food to bring back to sg hahaha. Didn't really take many pics that day :<
Day 9;
DAD IZ HERE hahahahaha.
Went to pick him up from Xiamen airport with couz and mum, then i sat with my couz on the train while mum sat behind us coz she wanted to sleeep hahaha
My couz was like a tour guide man, keep telling me about the places that we can see from inside the train.
He said the train can go at 280km/h but they now cap the speed at 200km/h for fear of accidents, so it travels slower lol.
Well i didn't mind hehe at least he kept me entertained for 2 hours :)
HAD MCFLURRY FOLLOWED BY KFC IN XIAMEN LOL WTS
Idk what was wrong with me but i wanted Mcflurry even though it was 16deg, coz its cheaper in China hahaha omg #cheapoforever
Then after buying, mum decided to have KFC for lunch coz other places seemed crowded
So i bought from Macs and brought it into KFC LOL
I actually uploaded the pic here but i can't seem to make it stay the right way, coz i took the pic with my phone :/
But anw, fetched dad and we took the train back!!
BROUGHT DAD TO PICK STRAWBERRIES- but failed coz the farmers just watered the field so its...freaking......wetttttt
They initially told us to use plastic bags to wrap around our shoes LOL but i was afraid of falling in the mud
So i wore the PCK boots hahahahahaha oh well at least it matched my Fox jacket teehee ;)
Since the next day is Dongzhi (Winter Solstice), we made our own tang yuans (glutinous rice balls) hehe
Super fun but i felt really cui so didn't take much pics/ didn't upload them hahaha
My couz was the photographer for the night, armed with my iPhone and camera, taking pics and videos of the whole proccess
Quite fun :)
Day 10;
Visited tourist destinations hahaha
First stop: Nine Dragon Valley!
The waterfall part was kinda similar to the one i went in Guizhou in J1, haha can see the water flowing from behind the waterfall
Went with my mad cousin's family hahaha look at them coming out from behind the waterfall (with me leading) 8D
Look at the reason for the name of the place (9 dragons duh, hahahahaha)
Yes that's me drinking holy water, i'm so blessed hehehe :>
After lunch,
second stop:
南少林 (got it online coz i simply can't type chinese on this comp)
Basically its just a temple and monastery which has been transformed to a famous tourist destination. Haha but the temple is still available for praying!
Idk how my bro came up with the idea of doing a flying kick, but mine failed terribly XD
After dinner at my cousin's house WE WENT KTV LOL
Dad paid for the room and we sang like mad,
damn shiok coz its a fixed price and you can sing till anytime you want UNTIL THEY CLOSE AT 2AM
We went at 8pm+ and sang till 1am+ only though, haha feels kinda wasted but i really strained my throat like mad :<
Was having fever before dinner but i refused to miss KTV, so i just ate panadol & went ahead :D
Went home with a realllyyyyyy sore throat ):
Day 11;
Went to a super high class 5 star hotel for lunch.
My mum's friend who's kinda rich totally stuffed us la, the waitresses just kept serving and serving food
Visited their house which looks like any modern sg condo OMG
Like seriously!!!!!
& their toilet can easily be twice as big as toilets in smaller HDB flats
After that my cousins brought me and my siblings only to shop for souvenirs,
which was the only time i paid lor like i said hahaha
Then if i didn't buy souvenirs, my cousin will rush to pay coz she wants to give whatever i want to buy as gifts to me :>
Had steamboat for dinner, but totally no pics that day coz i didn't bring my phone + cam out. -.-
ONLY BRO BROUGHT, and it was 12% so like no diff haizzzz
Oh and that was the day we found out about the doggie's death ):
Apparently it ran after my auntie and ran to the road, then got ran over by a car omgosh :/

Day 12;
Spent the whole day shopping in malls & didn't really take pics at all haha
Was kinda crowded everywhere & parents warned us not to take our gadgets out :/
Dad treated alot of ppl later on that night, like a farewell sort of thing. 6 tables of ppl, many of whom are strangers to me and my siblings :O
My crazy cousin bought sparklers for us to play after that. Don't underestimate the word 'bought', you'd be shocked at HOW MUCH she bought
There were at least like a thousand sticks, it felt like a never-ending lighting of sparklers one after another.
We then lighted this (idk what) thing in the pic below. I TOTALLY SCREAMED MY LUNGS OUT HAHAHA
After that an uncle bought fireworks. Like real fireworks, to be lighted right infront of our eyes :O
I think there were 12 in a box, so there'll be like 12 fireworks? I kinda forgot, but i taped the whole thing down man. It was awesome. Really.
It's like after he lighted one of the things, the others will get lighted one after another then they'll fly into the sky and scatter, and do what fireworks do?
DAMN COOL TO WATCH IT FROM THE BOTTOM, SO CLOSE UP SOMEMORE. *.*
Day 13;
Ate 'Water cook live fish' lolol just translate it to Chinese directly HAHA.
It's just fish boiled in water with ALOT ALOT ALOT ALOT ALOT OF CHILLI
I LOVE IT MAN, bro loves the spiciness too hahaha
Everyone else were like ._. when me and bro kept refilling our soup
But cold weather eat spicy food like a shiok only sia.
Hahaha after that we shopped at small shops, i bought the last of my presents and we went back to start packing our bags alr :/
I have no idea why time seemed to pass so fast in China, lolol
LAST DAY;
Totally ): ): ): coz i felt sick at the prospect of having to look for a job when i get back to sg
Siblings felt worse coz their school was starting in like 5 days LOL
Well, i really had the time of my life in China :>
Although i had to be away from social media and i thought it'd be unbearable, i realised it was actually quite okay after a few days lol
Few things i'll never get used to in China though:
-THE TRAFFIC (wtfbbq you dare to honk me at a zebra crossing?!!)
-PUBLIC TOILETS (build more doors, clean up more pls)
-LITTERING (I still very much prefer sg's clean and green city hehehe)
I HAD FUN IN CHINA,
I'LL VISIT IT AGAIN SOMEDAY.
BUT SINGAPORE,
I'M HERE TO STAY HAHAHAHAHAHA
